Greetings Everyone!

I trust you had a great summer and I extend you a warm welcome back to the 2011-2012 school year. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the Annual Employee Picnic on Wednesday, August 24th. Immediately prior to the beginning of the picnic, we are also celebrating the 25th year that EDCOE has been on the Green Valley site. When this site was officially dedicated in 1986, we placed a time capsule under the flag pole to be opened up in 25 years. We are anxious to see what it contains and are gathering new items to be placed in it from the year 2011, to be opened again in 2036! In the last 25 years there has been tremendous growth in programs, services, and facilities on this site.

2011-2012 will see EDCOE programs and services continue to deal with budget constraints, yet still working toward improvement of communication, educational excellence, and building on already strong school district and community organization relationship. I wish you a school year filled with success!
